Customer Reviews

House of Joy has quickly become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome -- friendly smiles, fast seating, and attentive service throughout the meal. You can tell they truly care about their customers. Every dish was packed with flavor and came out piping hot. The dim sum was especially impressive -- fresh, perfectly cooked, and not greasy at all. The Peking duck and salt-and-pepper shrimp were standouts, but honestly, everything we tried was delicious. Portions are generous and prices are very fair for the quality you get. What really sets House of Joy apart, though, is the level of service. Our tea cups were never empty, plates were cleared promptly, and the servers checked in just enough without ever being intrusive. It felt like dining at a place that truly values its guests. Whether you're coming for family dinner, a casual lunch, or a special occasion, House of Joy is a gem. Highly recommend -- can't wait to come back

This place is great! Everyone that works there is so nice and really efficient. The portions are really good. Their kimchi is very yummy! If you have never tried it now is the time. The dinner price went up since the last time we went, but still a good value.

Plenty of parking, great jiajia mien (black bean sauce noodles), and good glazed honey-texture chicken (aka Korean orange chicken). Service is good, hot tea comes with the meal, and lots of seating inside! Pricing is average.

This Korean Chinese fusion restaurant is absolutely amazing. These restaurants are usually known for their jjampong and jjajang. The first is a spicy seafood noodle soup, the second is a black bean sauce noodle soup. Just in case you guys didn't know. This place has the best Chinese Korean fusion in all of LA, including koreatown. I just came back from Korea a month ago and I would have to say this place beats a lot of the places in Korea. The last time I was here at this restaurant was 10 years ago when I was in high school. It was good then and it's good now. I literally had a foodgasm eating at this place today. The service is amazing The food comes out fast and the price is pretty damn good for this time of whatever is going on in America.

Visited this restaurant for the first time last week. I was greeted and seated immediately as I arrived for lunch. Right after I was seated, I was presented with a pot of hot tea and some crunchy noodles with sweet & sour to enjoy while I looked at the menu. I ordered the chicken chow mein. The friendly waitress let me know that was a very popular dish and then promptly brought out the soup of the day that was included with it (hot & sour). My food arrived shortly and was delicious. From the food, to the service, to the presentation, this place is amazing. I will be back.
